Daisy’s War – A splendid historical romance

I’ve read many novels set in the Second World War. Daisy’s War is set on the Isle of Sheppey where docks and the army garrison were bombarded. This is the best one I’ve read this year. Roberta Grieve has written a compelling story in which there are many twists and turns. She has recreated the era with fear for loved ones’ safety, the ups and downs of uncertainty, rationing, and the black market.

Daisy’s War – An enjoyable read

I really enjoyed this book and coming from the Isle of Sheppey and knowing the places that the book was set in made it even better. I'm now waiting patiently for the third book in the series
