S. Peters-Davis Book Review for: A Bourbon to Die For by Dean L. Hovey
Doug Fletcher Mystery # 17 – The prologue of the story starts with words creating a visual of a deadly event at Abraham Lincoln’s Birth Place National Historic Site. Then comes the Fletchers (Doug & Jill) to shake it all loose, gathering information and critical evidence with the help of Kristina Blake, Detective of LaRue County Sheriff’s Department in Kentucky. The cast of characters that were introduced and sometimes questioned by the authorities came to life on the pages as if the reader knew them firsthand.
This story, like all of author Dean L. Hovey’s mysteries, was a definite page-turner. Perfect start, and an excellent ending.
